About
Brünnchen is the Nordschleife's most popular viewing spot, and the internet knows it as the YouTube corner: most of the crash and near-miss footage you have ever seen from tourist drives was filmed from this bank. The approach is downhill, the braking point is hard to judge, and carrying a little too much speed understeers cars off the road in full view of the cameras.
The name has nothing to do with racing — it means "little well". Streams in this fold of the Eifel once supplied fresh water to Herschbroich, the village a couple of kilometres away.
Access is easy by Nordschleife standards, which is exactly why it is busy on every open day. Come early on tourist-drive weekends.
